Hōlanikū is our eldest island, located in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. A protected and sacred place, she serves as a vital nesting ground for many of our Native species and seabirds. However, Hōlanikū also sits in the path of the Pacific trash vortex, an ocean current that brings massive amounts of marine debris to her shores, threatening the life and health of our birds and ecosystem.

For the next 11 months, I’ll be calling this special place home as a volunteer with 4 others, all whom have no ancestral ties to Hawai'i. My goal is to raise awareness about the industrial waste polluting our planet, as well as bring more awareness and make it more accessible for other Kānaka Maoli (Native Hawaiians) and people throughout the Pacific.

These stickers are printed on white vinyl. All stickers are printed using UV ECO ink, a more environmentally friendly alternative.

Please dispose of the plastic backing responsibly by sealing it in a closed container or bottle before throwing it away to help prevent microplastic spread. Mahalo for doing your part.
